The Big Pull – Most Cables in at the Station Build

Those of you who have pulled cables in underground conduit know it is a bit of a chore.

In my station build the pulls include:

Shack to Tower:

Three 1/2 Hardlines
Two CAT6e Ethernet Cables
One 8-conductor Tower Control Cable
One 4-conductor Rotator Cable
220 vac single phase
110 vac
Two runs of WF16/U Military Surplus (for future usage)

Shack to the Flagpole Vertical Antenna:

One 1/2 Hardline
110 vac
One run of WF16/U Military Surplus (for future usage)

And Shack to the Woodland Antenna Point:

One Coax Feedline (9913F7)
Two 75 ohm Receive Coaxes
Two runs of WF16/U Military Surplus (one for future usage)

The tools used to pull cables include an Electrician’s “Fish Tape,” “Pull Tape/Rope” and “”Fish Pole/Noodler:”

Fish Tape – https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fish_tape

Pull Tape – https://ribbonfactory.com/store/display_item/1103.html

Fish Pole/Noodler – https://www.amazon.com/StartFine-Fiberglass-Connectable-Electrical-Noodler14ft/dp/B07M8TYNK7

Everything is in to the main tower, and the power is in to the Flagpole. Once the last few assemblies arrive (delayed by weather and holiday) a smaller “pull session” should finish things off.
