FlexRadio Systems Understatement “Oh, and we shipped the first FLEX-6000 production radios. Not much going on here…”

Unfortunately the first shipped is not my radio. With my order being among the first placed, I am hopeful of a pre-Dayton ship date – or perhaps I can pick it up while at Dayton?

From the latest FlexRadio Systems Insider:

A Word from our CEO – FLEX-6000 Signature Series™ Update

Dear Steve,

Ho hum, we’re shipping…

The last four weeks have been somewhat boring. We started up manufacturing, implemented automated production test software, completed final production CE/FCC compliance testing, solved a myriad of typical production startup issues, wrote a lot of SmartSDR software, worked over 500 FLEX-6700 contacts at the N6V special event station during the International DX Convention, and released PowerSDR 2.6.4. Oh, and we shipped the first FLEX-6000 production radios. Not much going on here…

As communicated in the last two FlexInsider articles, shipping has now begun in low volume and will build as we gain confidence and work out any issues that typically arise in production startup.

Our first FLEX-6000 ships while proud parents look on.

Our first FLEX-6000 ships while proud parents look on.

We heard loud and clear from many of you that it is more important that it be right than be quick. We want to make sure this is the radio you will enjoy and take pride in for years to come. We are working late and long to do our best to deliver on that commitment.

I want to extend a sincere thank you from the FlexRadio family for your support, patience and confidence. Our team looks forward to seeing many of you in Dayton, Seaside, Plano, Estes Park and Friedrichshafen, Germany over the next eight weeks.

73,
Gerald Youngblood, K5SDR
President & CEO

More to come, and soon I expect!

Congratulations to FlexRadio Systems and as they say “Game’s on!”
