Been weak on writing for With Varying Frequency as travel, work and commitments used up much mors time than expected.

Even my on-air time has been sharply curtailed.

Largely I do a lot of the overload to myself by not saying “no” enough when asked to help out.

Brief stops in five or six states and Europe used up a fair number of hours.

Some items that are coming up:

  • will be operating from “Rocky Ridge Farm” as well as Greengate Farm on Washington Island over the next six months.
  • have fully updated the Flex-6700 to the latest SmartSDR with Panafall displays.
  • hoping to get some /MM QSOs from my fishing boat project
  • and a whole lot more.

so please be patient while I get a few of the draft articles fleshed out.

So tell us from the Farm, you going to get on the air? What rig? What antenna?

I just became a Flex’er, buying a Flex-3000, now another ‘learning’ adventure begins.

Rocky Ridge Farm will first go on the air sometime in June.

Have not decided yet, on which gear to take up.

Thinking perhaps one of the new Flex 6300s would be the right device. What do you think?

Congratulations on your Flex 3000, I’m sure you will have a lot of fun with it!
