New Book Quotes "With Varying Frequency - Amateur Radio Ponderings"

When you buy a copy of James Wesley Rawles “Founders: A Novel of the Coming Collapse” turn it over and check the back cover. The review of Rawles previous release “Survivors: A Novel of the Coming Collapse” is quoted!

Ok, I only get a “sound bite” quote, but the good company of other blogs, authors and publications also being quoted is quite flattering.

Interestingly the series Patriots, Survivors, Founders and the expected Expatriates are “Parallel Novels” picking up different threads of the same period of fictional time. Rawles calls this “contemporaneous sequels” rather than “Parallel Novels.”

Think of them as wired-in-parallel rather than the wired-in-series we usually expect in a serial book release. This has caused some reviewers of the series some anguish as apparently as readers we are very conditioned to books series being wired-in-series.

When I finish this new book I’ll post a review.
