Had a good look at tbe demo units, shown running “pre-Alpha” software, in the flex booth
First there was a large crowd to wade through, and then perhaps six units to view
One is in a display case opened up to show off the architecture
Several are in a rack Wondering if this Series builds on their government series?
Very different form factor than the 5000 or 1500, more in the DVR player audio size and shape
Build quality is evident These are not hacked together demo units, showing production level finishing.
The software was in “show-n-tell mode” hinting at the utility to come.
Looking very fine!

Super helpful info! Thanks for posting. Keep us updated with more tidbits on the Flex-6000 radios.
Steve,
Read all the documentation on the 6000 series and I for sure would not buy one for at least a year out into production. There is a underlying reason for the “refundable deposit”. Remember when the sdr1000 first came out? It was a train wreck for a good year or more. I will pass on it for awhile that’s for sure.
Prudence makes sense.
That said, Flex-Radio is not the fledgling of sdr-1000 days.
Wondering if the Signature Series is an amateur radio adaptation of something else they make? It seems so polished.
Refundable is likely reality that there would be few takers putting down substantive deposits if the deposits were not.
