A wonderful how-to set of web pages on “Assembling the MFJ Cub Transceiver” by Scott NE1RD went on-line 29 September 2007.

MFJ Cub Transceiver

As 100 Pound DXpedition’s Scott NE1RD “The ARRL has offered a bundled an MFJ-9340K 40m QRP “Cub” transceiver kit with the third edition of Low Power Communication by Richard Arland (W3OSS). The kit is fun to assemble and when you are finished you have a very nice 40m CW rig. The following pages show what goes into building this kit. If you can follow directions, you can build one too!”

Check out Scott’s work - a great documentation of a build.
